Location: Field Based (South/South West England)

Reporting to: Sales and Marketing Manager

This sales / technical role is an integral position within the ruminant sales team, responsible for sales delivery to a small territory in the South West of England coupled with developing and implementing technical projects which aid and support the sales and marketing efforts within the British Isles.

Key Responsibilities (Objectives):

1. Account management responsibility.
2. Technical support for Elanco range of products in the field.
3. Active and integral member of the ruminant species team.
4. Technical liaison with the sales and marketing manager on the development and implementation of the marketing plans.
5. Research and Development on existing and new products by developing and running projects.
6. Planned activities with the salesforce to support Elanco products within ruminant customers. These activities should support the local Customer Sales Action Plans.
7. Represent Elanco at the British Cattle Veterinary Association.
8. Represent Elanco (British Isles) at internal European and Global meetings.
9. Pharmacovigilance (complaint co-ordination) in the British Isles.
10. Continual Professional Development.
11. Develop networks of internal and external consultants/experts in the designated areas of corporate interest:-

Essential skills

• Veterinary Degree and Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A hunger and interest in business and commerce
• A strong team player keen to work in and with a proactive team with a high degree of customer focus
• Able to develop technical support into commercial value for customer and sales teams
• Ambition and drive to succeed

Desirable skills

• Large animal practice experience
• Commercial experience, preferably within an Animal Health company.

Key Responsibilities (Objectives):

1. Key Account management responsibility working within the joint customer goals.
2. Technical support for Elanco range of products in the field.
3. Lead, support and develop HTSi at the customer and business level.
4. Report observations and trends and with recommendations to customers following necropsy sessions.
5. Lead Intestinal integrity and respiratory knowledge within the poultry industry.
6. Maintain technical leadership within the poultry sales force through ongoing training and development of individuals.
7. Active and integral member of the Poultry species team within Europe.
8. Share key learnings from the global poultry team back to the UK Ireland team.
9. Technical liaison with the sales and marketing manager on the development and implementation of the marketing plans.
10. Innovation on existing and new products and diagnostics by developing and executing projects to completion.
11. Executing activities with the salesforce to support Elanco products within poultry key accounts. These activities should support the local Customer Key Account Plans.
12. Represent Elanco at the Poultry Veterinary Society.
13. Represent Elanco at internal and external European and Global meetings and seminars.
14. Lead Poultry Pharmacovigilance in the UK and Ireland.
15. Continual Professional Development.
16. Develop and support networks of internal and external poultry shapers.

Required Skill Set…

• Veterinary Degree and Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
• First class written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
• First class administration, organisation and planning skills.
