Code of Practice - Precis of Last Quarter 1996 Cases

The report of the cases heard in the last quarter of 1996 by the NOAH committee for the code of practice for the promotion of animal medicines has now been produced. Five cases were presented to the committee and resolved.

The code exists so that there is accurate, fair and objective information available on animal medicines for vets and animal owners. It ensures that information not only conforms to legal requirements but also to ethical standards and the canons of good taste.

The code is transparent: quarterly summaries of cases are produced and circulated to the press for publication.
