NOAH's new officer teamJohn McNally, commercial director at Intervet UK Ltd, has been elected as the new chairman of the National Office of Animal Health for 2001-2002. The election took place at NOAH's AGM on 24 May. Nick Kamm, managing director of Vétoquinol UK, was elected the association's new vice-chairman. The treasurer remains the same: John Powell, commercial director of the Bob Martin Company. Sam Black, director of Leo Animal Health, now becomes the NOAH past-chairman. John McNally graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, Edinburgh in 1980. From there he worked in a mixed practice in Somerset, Shropshire and Ayrshire, latterly as a partner in a two man practice. In 1989 he joined Intervet as a livestock veterinary advisor and transferred to Mycofarm in 1994 as National Sales Manager. In 1996 Intervet and Mycofarm merged and he became National Sales Manager for Intervet. John is now commercial director for Intervet UK Ltd. Nick Kamm has been in the animal health industry for over 30 years and with Vétoquinol UK for the past eleven. Nick, who started his working career as a chemist, was initially with Rohm Haas and worked with them in the UK and in Europe. He spent a brief time with Hoechst Animal Health until he was involved in starting up Univet, a veterinary owned company, in 1981. Vétoquinol acquired Univet in 1990 and in 1997 Nick added the management of Vétoquinol Ireland to the UK.

- The National Office of Animal Health was formed on 1 January 1986 to represent the UK companies which research, develop, manufacture and market licensed animal health products. The association has 37 corporate members and 10 associate members. In 2000 NOAH's members accounted for around 95% of the £357 million UK animal health market, with additional valuable exports.
