Latest Veterinary Data Sheet Compendium Published
The 2001-2002 edition of the NOAH Compendium of Data Sheets for
Veterinary Products is now available. Traditionally regarded as indispensable, this latest
volume, as well as giving up-to-date prescribing information, contains new features to
make it an even better reference tool.
New this time is an index of active ingredients, to give a different
angle on searching for medicine information. A directory of veterinary services and
supplies and a directory of referral practices are also included, for reference throughout
the year. Again the list of products by therapeutic indication is fully indexed, making
the book even easier for users of animal medicines to find the information they need to
know.
As always, the book gives the full data sheets for animal medicines:
this time from 36 companies, including such vital information as safety instructions,
withdrawal periods, product indications and dosage rates; major changes to data sheets
since the last edition have been highlighted by a line in the margin. Of course, there is
an alphabetical index of brand names.
Copies of the Veterinary Medicines Directorate Suspected Adverse
Reaction Surveillance Scheme (SARSS) forms are also included.
A free copy is being sent to every UK veterinary practice and branch
surgery, and to every final year veterinary student. This is a change to the previous
distribution policy, but special rates - subscriptions and multiple purchase- are offered
to encourage veterinary surgeons to buy their own copy. Farmers, animal medicine
distributors, animal breeders - in fact, anyone with an interest in animal medicines -
will also find it invaluable.
Copies are available from John C Alborough Ltd, Lion Lane, Needham
Market, Suffolk IP6 8NT, telephone 01449 723800, for £25 (UK) and £30 (overseas) for
single copies. Special discounts are available for multiple orders.
