NOAH Compendium goes online
The National Office of Animal Health (NOAH) has today, 30
September, launched an
online version of
the Compendium of Data Sheets for Animal Medicines at the British
Veterinary Association Congress in London. The online Compendium is on
www.noahcompendium.co.uk.
The NOAH Compendium is a convenient source on animal
medicines, for veterinary surgeons, pharmacists, animal health merchants and
other users of animal medicines. The book
is published every year, with the 2006 edition due for publication this
December. Now this information is also available, free of charge,
online at the
touch of a keyboard.
NOAH chief executive Phil Sketchley says: “It is vital
that those responsible for the prescribing and dispensing of animal
medicines have access to information about them. They need to be able to
find out quickly what they need to know, and keep up to date with any
changes to the advice given by companies in accordance with their products’
marketing authorisations. Now companies can use the
online Compendium
to flag up important changes in between editions of the book. We hope it
will become an indispensable companion to the acknowledged animal medicine
‘bible’”.

Health was formed on 1 January 1986 to represent the UK companies which
research, develop, manufacture and market licensed animal health
products. The association has 32 corporate members and 13 associate
members. In 2004 NOAH's members accounted for well over 90% of the £420
million UK animal medicines market.
