Compendiums are go!
The National Office of Animal Health (NOAH) chief
executive Phil Sketchley has visited the
Feline Advisory Bureau
(FAB) in Wiltshire to present the charity’s chief executive Claire
Bessant with a ‘big cheque’ for £1472.
For the last 5 years NOAH has supported an animal charity
and FAB was chosen as NOAH’s charity of the year for 2010. This donation was
raised following a campaign where NOAH donated £1 for every copy of the
2010/11 edition of the 'Compendium of Datasheets for Animal Medicines' that
they sold. It follows the presentation of a cheque for over £3200 from a
raffle and donation at NOAH’s 2010 Annual Dinner, giving a total raised for
FAB of nearly £4700.
“NOAH is delighted to be able to support the work of FAB,
and thanks those who have bought the NOAH Compendium, enabling NOAH to
donate this money,” said NOAH chief executive Phil Sketchley. "It is through
their generosity that we have been able to support FAB's work, dedicated to
promoting the health and welfare of cats through research to obtain improved
knowledge of feline medicine and diseases. It is a theme very close to
NOAH's heart - and something our Pet Health Information website
www.pethealthinfo.org.uk does its best to promote".
Claire Bessant, chief executive of FAB added: “FAB, and
its veterinary division ISFM,
enjoy working closely with many of NOAH’s members and understand the huge
role animal medicines play in feline health. With the support of NOAH, and
its members, FAB is able to do much more to improve the health and welfare
of cats worldwide. We are truly grateful for this support”.
