New survey – how can the NOAH Compendium be improved?

NOAH has launched a survey seeking the views of users of the NOAH Compendium app and website on some suggested future developments and to see how the user experience can be improved to make this information source even more valuable.

NOAH is asking users about proposed functionality such as notifications when there are new and updated datasheets, sharing links to datasheets, and an enhanced search functionality. The survey closes on 18th July, and NOAH would welcome your views, to take part in the survey click here.

As part of NOAH’s sustainability and environmental commitments the 2022 book was the last edition to be printed so the website and the app will now be the routes to access datasheets and view any changes.

Dawn Howard, NOAH Chief Executive, explained: “The 2022 edition of the NOAH Compendium book, published earlier this year, is the last edition of the hard copy to be produced. Now and from 2023  the free-to-access NOAH Compendium website and app will provide up to date information for prescribers and users of veterinary medicines. We are now seeking views from our users on what improvements would make it even more practical to support responsible use.

“We know there’s already great awareness of our digital formats – last year our survey showed 86% were aware of the website and 45% were aware of the app – and their use is growing.  The app was particularly popular with the 26 – 35 age group, with well over two thirds (71%) accessing it weekly.

“The NOAH Compendium website and app provides the latest information on the 1250+ animal medicines in the Compendium easily on a range of devices. The app also includes the ability to scan datamatrix barcodes on veterinary medicinal product packaging, leading straight to product information, as well as to search by medication, manufacturer or GTIN.

“This is a great step forward towards NOAH’s environmental commitments, as well as ensuring access to up-to-date information. We thank prescribers and users of animal medicines for their support on this decision and look forward to continuing to provide our go-to Compendium resource,” Dawn added
