Who is your pet’s best friend?
The National Office of Animal Health is looking for Britain’s best pet friendship
As part of its mission to celebrate healthy, happy pets and, through the www.pethealthinfo.org.uk website, to encourage owners to seek expert advice on pet healthcare, the National Office of Animal Health (NOAH) is launching a new competition to celebrate pets and their best friends. The campaign is part of NOAH’s ‘Happy, Healthy Pets Project’, designed to build the biggest picture of the UK’s happy, healthy pets.
Pet owners up and down the country are being encouraged to celebrate the importance of pet companionship by entering photos of their pets with their best friends. Whether the best friend is the owner, an animal friend, a favourite toy or even their vet, NOAH wants to see it all! The lucky winner will be treated to a £250 voucher for pet treats and supplies.
The competition is part of NOAH’s ongoing ‘I heart my pet’ campaign — designed to celebrate the love that UK pet owners feel for their animals and, through the www.pethealthinfo.org.uk website, to encourage them to think about the health of their pets and seek independent, expert animal healthcare advice.
Through the act of snapping a photograph of pets with their best friends, NOAH hopes to draw attention to the importance of both the companionship that our pets bring us and how we need to make sure that their own relationship needs are respected and nurtured.
NOAH Chief Executive, Dawn Howard comments:
“The right kind of companionship is a vital part of a pet’s wellbeing, and our own relationship with our pets is scientifically proven to improve our health. We can’t wait to see lots of wonderful photos demonstrating the fabulous relationships enjoyed by the animals that share our homes. Whatever form it takes, we want to celebrate these friendships — and the important role they play in keeping pets happy and healthy — with our latest competition!”
