New NOAH leadership team elected at AGM

Ned Flaxman, UK Country Manager for Krka UK Ltd has been elected as the new Chair of NOAH for 2023/24 at the association’s AGM today. He was previously NOAH’s Vice-Chair.
In addition, Caitrina Oakes (Vetoquinol) was elected as Past Chair, Gerard Ensink (Boehringer Ingelheim) as Vice Chair and Matthew Frost (Elanco) as Treasurer.
Oya Canbas (Zoetis) and Rachel Smithson (Animalcare Ltd) were elected to the NOAH Board of Management.

Ned Flaxman NOAH Chair – Biography
Ned was awarded a Royal Navy Bursary to complete a degree in Animal Sciences at London University. Ned served as a Seaman Officer for 8 years in a variety of roles from diver to navigator. On leaving the armed forces he completed an MBA at the Cranfield School of Management where on completion he joined International Paints, the marine coatings division of Akzo Nobel.
After 3 years he transferred to the veterinary pharmaceuticals division of Akzo Nobel and so began his 20 plus year career in the animal health industry, returning to his university degree roots. During this time Ned has had a number of senior commercial roles with companies like Intervet (now MSD), Pets at Home and Zoetis.
In 2017 Ned joined the Slovenian pharmaceutical company Krka as UK Country Manager where he is responsible for both veterinary and human medicine businesses.
Ned has participated in various NOAH groups and committees during his animal health career and has been on the Board of NOAH since 2021, being elected Vice-Chair in July 2022.
Ned lives in East Sussex where he and his family have a menagerie that includes 3 cats, 2 horses and a black labrador.
