NOAH Welcomes Appointment of New Members to the UK Trade and Agriculture Commission
NOAH (National Office of Animal Health) warmly welcomes the recent appointment of new members to the UK Trade and Agriculture Commission (TAC). The TAC is an independent expert committee supported by a Secretariat within the Department for Business and Trade (DBT).
The Commission provides independent, expert advice on the impact of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) on the UK’s statutory protections related to animal and plant life or health, animal welfare, and environmental standards. The Commission’s advice informs the government’s report to Parliament, aiding in the thorough examination of trade agreements.
As a leading voice in the animal health sector, NOAH is pleased to see such experienced and knowledgeable individuals join the Commission. The members are drawn from across the food production, veterinary, animal welfare, environment and international trade policy sectors.

The appointments to the UK Trade and Agriculture Commission come at a critical time, with global trade negotiations continuing to evolve, and NOAH looks forward to engaging with the Commission on the ongoing challenges and opportunities within the animal health sector.
