NOAH welcomes Matthew Gibbard as Public Affairs and Communications Manager

NOAH is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Gibbard as its new Public Affairs and Communications Manager who joined the team on 1 May 2024.

In his new role, Matthew will be responsible for leading on NOAH’s public affairs and communications work , including media relations, government affairs and stakeholder engagement.

Prior to joining NOAH, Matthew worked for the British Society for Immunology as Policy and Public Affairs Manager for almost five years, including leading their PPA work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2019 General Election.  Before that he worked in the UK Parliament, for a number of years where he headed up a Minister’s Parliamentary Office. Matthew has a solid understanding of the legislative, scrutiny, and policymaking processes, and a first-hand insight into how Westminster and Whitehall works. His background in politics and science/health communications will be a great asset to NOAH.

Matthew will be taking over from Alison Glennon, who is retiring after an amazing 41 years with NOAH. Alison is currently working part time, before she takes her well-earned retirement in September.
